  • Vaccines save lives – Childhood vaccinations prevent around 4 million deaths worldwide each year. Between 2021 and 2030, immunizations could prevent more than 50 million deaths.
  • Vaccines work by training the immune system – Vaccines teach the body’s immune system to recognize and defend against harmful bacteria or viruses before an infection occurs. This reduces the chance of getting certain infectious diseases.
