Louis Van Amstel to Host LaBlast Class at the Sussex Family YMCA Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 9 – 10 AM
PROCEEDS BENEFIT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR FAMILIES
Rehoboth, Delaware – The Sussex Family YMCA invites the community to register for a special LaBlast dance fitness class hosted by Louis Van Amstel, a Professional dancer, and choreographer best known for his appearances on Dancing with the Stars. The event will be held Sunday, August 6th from 9 – 10 a.m. at the Sussex Family YMCA. All proceeds benefit the Sussex Family YMCA Annual Campaign. “This class is a great way to have a little fun while supporting families in our community,” said Linda Risk, Chief Operating Officer for the YMCA of Delaware. “Whether it be a single parent who needs summer camp or before and after care for their child, a cancer survivor looking for companionship and support in our Livestrong program, or our Teens needing a safe place to gather and find mentors, we are here for everyone in our community and want to ensure access to all our programs and services. Our Annual Campaign helps us to achieve this.”
The YMCA’s Annual Campaign provides scholarships to individuals and families in our local community, ensuring that everyone has access to vital programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Sussex Family Y works hard to support the people and neighborhoods who need it most by addressing community needs such as school readiness, chronic diseases, and drowning prevention. Last year, the Sussex YMCA provided $50,000 in financial assistance and has a goal to increase its impact in 2023, but they need the help of the community to do it.
