At the Y, we are on a mission to put local youth on a pathway to success. Since 2017, the Teen Workforce Development training program has provided over 300 teens with professional development and internship experience and currently serves students in six YMCA of Delaware locations throughout the state. During the program, teens participate in interactive workshops centered around interview preparation, resume writing, and completing job applications. Additionally, students participate in mock interviews with local professionals and are provided with expert resume feedback. Many are hired as paid interns with the Y, starting at $15 per hour, and have the opportunity to get hands-on experience in various departments at our branches.
